Venus, Saturn and the Dog Star!

Most people know of Sirius as the dog star, well, at our place it is SOPHIE the Dog Star! Just as I was composing for a shot of Venus and Saturn she decided to do her billy goat impersonation.

Both shots taken tonight at about 6.30pm WST using a tripod mounted Olympus 410 compact digital, after which in came the clouds and going by the weather forcast thats it until about Wednesday!! :(

By the way, I wasnt sure were to put this thread? Solar system, Deep space(dog star :lol: ), general photography or whatever:shrug: .

No Graeme, it wasnt intentional. Just one of those lucky moments. BTW, she is now on the Spaceweather site, world famous dog!! Not the main page but there nonetheless.
