A moon image for comment

Another success for members interest and comment.
Rheita Valley and Craters Metius, Fabricius and Janssen. I get excited when processing a shot such as this, to see the mounts on the moon's limb. I'd like to see photographs of the mountains in elevation. Mountains such as the Apennines. A wonderful shot of the Alps Valley by Damian Peach in July/ August SKY and Tele. What a magnificent shot!

Hi Dennis, that's a very nice image! Good exposure and tonal range, and nice and sharp.

I too love mountains on the limb. I caught an image of some myself in some hi-res shots I took back in May. You can see them here:

I tried this a few weeks ago, but dopey me forgot to set the image resolution!!!! I didn't notice until I opened them in Registax :sadeyes:

They all came out tiny :lol:
