Here's mine from last night and tonight.

1. Last night: 75-300mm lens @ 300mm. Camera shake :(
2. Last night: 75-300mm lens @ 75mm.
3. Tonight: 75-300mm lens @ 300mm
4. Tonight: 75-300mm lens @ 75mm (ignore the lens flare, i'll clone it out later).

Tomorrow night I'm going for a roadtrip to get some widefield shots and hopefully hi-resolution ones too.

Well, here's mine from tonight. Taken just after sunset in blue sky, afocally with Olympus Stylus 410 through 21mm EP in 114x900 reflector. Unfortunately, clouds & rain quickly followed, so this was the last I saw of the pair. Awesome view, seeing both planets in the eyepiece. Much better and clearer than this photo too :P . Fingers crossed for tomorrow night!

Congrats to all who saw and imaged the Venus/Saturn close approach.

Where was I? Good news - I was well above the clouds :) Bad news, being on a eastbound flight, no matter how much I twisted my neck at the little window, I couldn't see Venus and Saturn for the few hours they may have been in view :sadeyes:

July 1st.

Orion ED80 with SAC4.2 planetary camera. Two images, one exposed for Venus and one exposed for Saturn and then layered in PS, but otherwise this is how it appeared onscreen with both planets visible. Not as impressive as those using landscape as a background/foreground framing, but an interesting exercise none the less.
