Well left the scope outside and had a go at Mars this morning. Mirror was 2 degrees above ambient and the seeing was poor but was dead keen to have a go to wet the appetite so to speak. Had forgotten what a tough object this is having been spoilt with Jupiter all these months.

Part of the South Polar cap and Polar hood is visible.

Anyhow, intial run of 600 frames in Registax and AstraImage with lots of work to do but it's a start.

Enjoy.

John.

Hi John.

That's a good result with Mars still being so small.

Colours look good.

Cheers.

That's very nice John, I'm looking forward to seeing more Mars images leading up to December and hopefully capturing a few of my own.

Cheers
