Does anybody on IIS have any expereince with this new low cost camera.
I was pretty impressed with the images here:
http://www.meade.com/dsi_ii/marksibole/index.html
They seem fairly noise free compared with most of the non-cooled CCD stuff I have seen.
Hi Mark, I am very happy with mine and have had it for just over 12 months.
The software is quite easy to learn and use as well.

Thanks Ric, I wondered if you've got links to any photos you've taken..I 'd be interested to see photos that aren't sponsered on the Meade web site.:)

Hey, i have also had my DSI Pro II for just over a year now and I couldn't be happier with it! ;)
All of my deep sky images have been taken with this camera.
To see the pictures I have taken go to my website at www.NicksAstronomy.com (http://www.NicksAstronomy.com) and click on "Deep Sky".
Hi Mark, here are a few of my images to give you an idea. They are,
1. M6 The butterfly cluster.
2. Omega Centauri.
3. NGC3132 The 8 burst planetary nebula.
4. Centaurus A galaxy.
As I'm currently in Alt/Az mode all inages are between 21 and 30 second exposures and usually a set of 60 to 100 exposures stacked. I'm still learning the art of post processing.
Cheers
