This may seem a silly question, but how do you manually shut down the Dwarf 3 so that it rotates the lenses down, horizontally turns to line up the tripod plate with the Dwarf 3 body and then shuts off? Is there a manual and/or automatic function? Just got one and keen to use it, but after a quick scan through the guide I can't find anything. I tried the shutdown button in 'My Device', but it only rotates the lenses down. Manually trying to line up the tripod plate in the dark is difficult. Surely there should be a 'shutdown' button that rotates the lenses down and the body to line up with the tripod plate? I used the my devices shutdown during the night and the tripod plate was left at nearly 90 deg to the body and consequently won't fit into the bag.

Hi Graham

I did a search for 'dwarf 3 sleep' and the AI summary came up with some info.

Hopefully, it it is both accurate and useful!

The DWARF 3 smart telescope does not have a "sleep" mode in the traditional sense.

Home Position:
After powering off or shutting down, the DWARF 3 does not automatically return to its home position. The user needs to manually move it to the home position (camera tube down, body flush with base) via the app. (my bold)

It appears to be a stage two process.

Thank you for your reply. I found a 'shutdown' button in 'my devices', but it only rotates the lenses down. It left the base at about 45 deg, which means it doesn't fit back in the supplied camera bag. It seems pretty solid too, so can't manually move it. Its a pain having to remember to rotate the base back to its zero position before a shutdown, especially in the dark. I think the software needs updating to include a proper shutdown.

Hi

It certainly sounds like a pain in the behind. Consider sending the suggestion to the manufacturer. They may update the software.
