Nice scope but all wooden scopes are more common than you would think.
If you are into woodworking then its a great exercise in coopering.
i thought about making one once but realised it wooden work! :P
i have seen some great craftmanship in wodden scopes. they can look really nice :)

some years ago I made a R.C.C.S.T.R (Really Crudely Constructed Square Tube Reflector) out of MDF and Surplus Shed components.

At the very other end of the scale from my effort is Dave Gault's wonderful instrument-only the OTA is made of wood but what a thing of beauty

not surprisingly it won an award at SPSP-IMHO it would have won an award at Stellafane or anywhere else for that matter
