Thanks for sharing, Leo.
That is one big mirror, on one big mount, on one one big tripod mountain!

First light revel for the VCR will be June 23 (https://rubinobservatory.org/news/rubin-first-look-june-23) so like the big reveal was with Webb, back in July 2022, this is sure to be pretty damn cool too .

Hopefully it will be as stunning as the Webb reveal, unlike the first images from Hubble till they corrected the mirror.
I guess with the Webb mirror adjustments are out of the realm of our current levels of space travel, I'm sure NASA was so happy when it worked out of the box (or satellite).

If you haven't checked out the optical/camera specs...this thing is effectively an 8.4m (6.7m unobstructed) aperture, F1.2 Schmidt camera, with a 640mm diameter corrected image circle that covers a 3.5deg wide field ....the camera has a roughly circular chip, with adaptive optics built in, which is the size of the wheel on a large family sedan (including the tyre! see attached photo) and a limiting resolution on the chip of 0.2 arc sec, farrrrrrrk, awesome :eyepop:
