Waterfalls from the drone

Another splendid day enjoying magnificent scenic wonders of the Springbrook Mountain's Waterfalls in the Lamington National Park, Se Qld.

These are actually screenshots of the Video, there is just not enough time to change over from Vid into camera stills and settings etc, plus keeping video continuous, reminds to get more batteries, 3 doesn't cut it for a full productive day out . Hope worth a squizz , ,

Great shots yet again Bob and that drone has a nice camera. I'm guessing the video is better, I'll have a look later.
Is it a 1080 or 4K camera (I don't have a 4K screen on my pc anyway)?

Nice use of the drone, Bob.

My photos of waterfalls have always been from the ground and the receding perspective always made them look strange.

Your better angles really bring out their beauty. Thanks for the inspiration.

Wow, that drone footage is remarkable!
Near the last part when you were looking over the edge of the waterfall (well, the drone was) and looking down, I'd have snagged the drone in the close by branches and be going over the falls in a barrel to recover my expensive toy.

The drone opens up other possibilities of creating still images, like you mention, location/angles for perspective and compositions, actually you have inspired this duck some ideas, the camera does have some good potential with manual settings, application of Neutral Density filters, does Bracketed Frames for HDR purposes, and also does Raw files.
I am looking forward to more learning opportunities,

Thnx Leo, yeah the camera is reasonably good considering being a compact lightweight package, a lot of manual settings to play with, does video upto 4K @ 60Fps, but I think 4K at 30Fps is better, particularly using neutral density filters enabling lengthening the exposure to smooth the flow of video to create a more cinematic effect :thumbsup:

Yes there was not much room between the water and them branches, about 1.5 - 2mtrs, I had about 5-6 practice runs (About 1/2 a batteries worth) before developing some sort of flow in the movement, needing to set to 'Sport Mode' so the sensors are turned off, otherwise it wont go close to things, but Sport mode also delivers speedier joystick response, meaning move the stick a mm and the drone moves a metre before you know it, not forgetting you are doing four things at once, moving forward, turning and lowering under the branches, plus gimble tilting the camera down ,, who says man can't multi task :P

I bought my son a 450 remote helicopter some years ago only to find he couldn't legally fly it here, it was a handful without proper training but my son figured it out with minor incidence (hovering only, found out we couldn't use it in town because of the emergency helicopter and our close proximity to the hospital). Fast control joysticks would be trouble and expense for me me thinks, my brain AIN'T that fast now.
It is stunning footage Bob!
