Please do your research first, here’s a description of the eyepieces as they are numbered in the attached image: (Written by the original owner).

1. The Holy Hand Grenade. 31mm TeleVue Nagler and quite the finest on earth! 80x for the widest possible views
2. 17mm Televue Nagler. My favourite by far and has a very versatile magnification of 150x. The eyepiece cup is adjustable for comfortable viewing, unless your eye is in exactly the right position these eyepieces can act a little odd!
3. The Paracorr – At f5, this is optional. It does make a difference to the coma at the edges and even the detail closer in. If the seeing is really good, give it a go. It increases the magnification by 15% and can be tuned to get the correction just right – I’ve stuck a number on each eyepiece for ref.
4. Barlowed laser collimator. Does the job very nicely
5. 11mm Televue Nagler for when things need a little power. 230x
6. A 2” extension tube. If you are using the scope in Photography/bino-viewer mode, you will need this for the eyepieces to come to focus.
7. Televue 2x Barlow. Doubles everything up so you get 300x with the 17mm and 460x with the 11mm. It the image is holding good at that, then the seeing is awesome and your head is exploding with the views of Jupiter!
8. The narrowband filters:
* Baader UHC-s – The least harsh, very popular in smaller scopes and helps in light polluted areas
* Thousand Oaks Narrowband – A better version of the above, lets less pollution through.
* Thousand Oaks H-Beta – Outrageously expensive and only is useful in adding contrast to the horsehead nebula from extremely dark sky sights. Drop it into conversation with other astronomers “you know, the views were beyond amazing with the H Beta” but only in winter when Orion is below the horizon so you cant be proved wrong
* Thousand Oaks OIII – This is the one! It eats up the stars a bit, but enhances contrast brilliantly on emission nebulae and Planetary nebulae. TBH, it’s the only one I ever use, and it gets a lot of use too.
