Losmandy Gemini 2 L6 Upgrade

I was a bit reluctant to do this myself as it involved having to obtain a PIC programmer so I thought I'd speak to my Losmandy Guru Brendan (wasyoungonve), sure enough he came to the party and was able to do this for me, at a very reasonable price, my thanks go out to him once again, he helped me some time ago replacing the HC screen, so I knew how capable he was. :thanx::thumbsup:

Sounds good and yes he is a big help.
I must look into the upgrade.
I would like to see USB compatibilty rather than ethernet being required. Maybe the Gemini could be standalone WIFI hotspot.

Hi Trevor. No problems glad to help. You will love the increase motor torque and much faster boot loader.


Glen. I love the LAN ….don’t use the USB much it creates virtual port.

I’ve got a small mango router that can connect via LAN or wifi to your home network and run the Gemini. Very cheap. My guess adding onboard wireless adds complexity and wireless is going thru generation changes very fast. Any band they use would probably be obsolete in 10yrs.

But hey I don’t really know of their plans.
