Hi,

Apologies if this is not the appropriate forum for this question, but can anyone tell me what he best method of posting or delivering large and/or heavy gear if selling, particularly if the buyer is interstate? Australia Post, a courier firm like DHL, or Pack & Send, both from a cost and convenience point of view?

I've used Pack and Send and chose them again just recently.
They can also build a crate for your delivery.

I have always used Australia Post, with no issues, they are limited to about 20kg's If my memory serves me correct.

I have used Australia Post many times for smaller things including OTA's.

When I sold an old mount to an interstate buyer I made a small wooden pallet to attach all the bits and sent it via Pack and Send.

If the buyer agrees then they can pay the freight cost directly over the phone to Pack and Send or possibly at their local Pack and Send.

Pack and send have been flawless for me.

I've used Pack and Send. I organized them to collect a pallet with the AP1200GTO mount from the seller in Perth and deliver it to me in Coffs Harbour.

Would definitely recommend them.

A good friend also used them to send a small astro-imaging setup to the US in 2017 for the eclipse. He was doing a month or so of travel before landing in Idaho so organised it to arrive at the AirBnB a week or two ahead of him.
