Despite the awesome queensland weather of late, I managed to pull a couple of good nights that I was able to convert into an image!

I really love both versions you've got on offer here. I think I prefer the SHO a little more; the contrast and details might be a bit more pronounced? But that's probably more my own personal taste than anything.

Hey Josh, Thanks for the feedback - I tend to agree, but being colourblind, I can never really trust my perception on these things and tend to defer to others!

Being that I've had two people give me the same feedback - I've marked the SHO image as the final on AB now.

I probably pretty biased towards the green on this region in particular, I look at a metal print of the Statue of liberty in very similar palette at work every day.

Currently working on this one myself as well now but I much prefer your rotation. This is beautiful work!

And I prefer the HSO version btw (quite a bit more! not to say the SHO is bad, it's far from it.. the HSO is sublime)

I have the same issue and many of my images look overdone, mostly with a blue hue with red/green colour blindness, clearly visible when I print them out on 12x8 paper, thankfully my son isn't and he can double check everything for me.

That’s a really nice capture of an object that rarely gets presented on this forum.
That Askar scope and ToupTek gear has certainly captured some excellent data. It’s nice to see different palettes of the same object as you often pick up areas of faint detail in one or the other.

Its actually a habit I picked up from you. With narrowband data I almost always create a HOO, HSO, SHO, OSH and a Foraxx image, then from there I'll try to determine what I like the most about each of them, or which ones I just simply don't like, then I'll post my two or 3 favorites.

I also almost always create a B/W Ha image that I will push MUCH harder to get the most possible contrast out of.

I've been VERY happy with the 120APO, having used it now with an IMX294 colour camera, the ASI1600MM and now the ToupTek 2600MM, with both the 1x flattener and the 0.8x reducer/flattener, I can happily say that it was a fantastic choice.

The only issue I've had with it is its physical lenght on a small harmonic mount and then some tripod collision scares (luckily nothing actually happened, but it was close...)

And obviously, yes... The IMX571... There's no denying that it's an amazing sensor... I can safely say it's been the most impressive sensor I've ever used... Its not the biggest sensor I've used, certainly not the most expensive camera I ever used either... But what it produces is absolutely GOLD. I just need my processing skill to catch up to the quality of the raw data I'm getting!

Lovely Alex - whenever I map HSO it comes out like some horrific purple people eater nonsense, so your handling of the data makes me think it's worth exploring...very well done, beautiful images as per
