Hi Guys,
It has been quite some time since I've posted. This shot was done from my new Dark Site Observatory at Phillip Island (a few trees around that I would like to take to with a chain saw ). Phillip Island is much nicer site to Photograph from than my main site in Boronia, Melbourne. Unfortunately, Boronia is getting to the point where you can almost can read a book in the backyard, "in middle of the night" :(.

NGC5128, taken with a C9.25 EdgeHD at F10, on a ZWO ASI2600MC Pro OSC Camera,
Exposure time (50 x 300 Seconds)

Clear Skies

Wow thats lovely Peter. You simply can't beat imaging from a dark sky for stuff like this. That detail is so clear and the colour is gorgeous - in particular the 'mohawk' as i like to call it. Can't wait to see what else you can shoot over at the new obs. Congrats

Thanks Dave for you comments, a dark site is certainly much easier, Phillip Island is not has good as being perched on top of a mountain, but a vast improvement over Boronia. I have nearly 200 happy snaps in my collection, mostly Galaxies, I can see quite a few being re done "to drag out just that tiny bit more detail".

Thanks Greg, I'm working on my wife to get a permanent move down to Phillip Island, photographing down there is so much easier. :D
