Here is a few gamma adjustments, the combined rgb, .9,.8,.7 gamma scale in astra image
What gamma reduction works for most on what monitors?
Love the fine detail thru the outbreak to the right of the GRS.
This is simply my best ever data and it I thank my very good friend Bird who is one of the most generous blokes I have ever met! Thanks Mate

:o Superb images mate. Very detailed. All look terrific on the CRT. If I had to choose though it would be the bottom one for a slightly more contrasy view.

Wow DP, those are excellent. The top left looks best on my dell 24 lcd.

Had some good seeing around this way also, that big HP system is doing a good job.


ps where's the rest with Ganymede? I can see it peeking thru on one of the background images. You're not holding back on us are ya?? :-)

all look good but the bottom one-to my untutored eye looks best on my PC

Sorry Dave, I'm not much use to you.

Centre top one was my first impression, but as I looked closer I found each one highlights detail in a different part of the image better than the others. For example, I reckon the centre top is best for the detail above the GRS in latitude. The RH one is best for the detail in the bottom red band, etc. So now I'm all confused and can't decide!:screwy:

That is a very good demonstration to let us know and learn more about how the gamma setting affects image quality captured. For me, I have been benefitted from it.

It all comes down to personal preference in the end I guess. I like them all, but do like the increased contrast of the far right and bottom.

That's a beautiful image, too Dave. Let's see the final version! Easily your best by a country mile going on that preview!

Well, what can I say but WOW - gob smacking images; as Mike rightly writes, easily your best.

In terms of seeing all that there is, top left is best on my Benq 20" LCD, although in terms of just pleasing to look at, the top right get the nod, only just though.

Great work mate, its very nice to see all your hard work and diligence has been rewarded by such stunning results!

hmmmm, running out of disc space it was..... hmmmmmmm partition logic time it was..... backup performed before friggin with the partitions it wasn't!!! (oops) :(
