The Tarantula Nebula is a large Ha region in the Large Magellanic Cloud. It has a magnitude of +8 at a distance of 160,000 light years away. It's diameter is up to 1,860 light years across.

NGC 2070 is a star cluster at the center of the Tarantula nebula.
I didn't get much time on this object, as my summer was pretty bad. It was mostly cloudy the whole time, and when it was clear, it's a full moon.
