Hey all,
Well i had another crack at it and im pleased with the results (although the image looks a whole lot better in DeepSkyStacker)
Cannon 400D, ISO1600, 4 x 15sec exposures, registered and stacked in DeepSkyStacker, 75-300mm lens set at 200mm and fine adjustment at 3/4
Enjoy
Benno
good first attempt there. I would work on your focus a bit its one thing that will help your photo become more sharper. Any way well done and keep then coming. Focus is not easy take some test shots first and zoom in checking your focus till you get it spot on. The lens you are using looks like it is out of collimation to. This will help with getting your photos sharper to.

Benno,
I'm new to the program myself, no expert by a long way.
You mentioned that your image looked better in DeepSkyStacker, this may help.
In Deepskystacker, after you've finished with your image and you bring up the Save As window, at the bottom of that window, in the Options section, click on "Apply adjustments to the Saved Image"

Hi Benno, like Phil says with the focus...these lenses are so touchy with there focus so it takes a few goes before you get the hang of it. But keep up the good work!!!
cheers
