Foam inserts telescope

Foam inserts inside case holding my WO refractor is disintegrating. It's disgusting and sticking to my scope. So have to remove and redo.

What's the best type to use and where do you get this stuff?

Following as well, mine had the same issue over time, wondering if something like Clarke rubber would be a longer lasting alternative to the foam, and if it would give the same shock resistance.

I've learnt in the past Clark Rubber is not always the best foam after buying high density stuff to cover a chair base with. Far from quality and far from cheap. They used to be the go-to place, not so sure now.
Though I would search online for decent quality stuff and I believe you can buy packs of good quality plucking foam to fit certain cases or cut it down as required, straight edge and very sharp Stanley knife allowing for errors with applied pressure squashing the foam.
I guess Clark Rubber gives you a starting point if you have one near.

Not sure of brand names but would suggest the following. Considered the “Ferrari” of foams, XLPE foam is a premium version of polyethylene foam, with better durability, a softer touch, and an incredibly smooth surface, like a mix between rubber and foam surface. It is often used for presentation cases and high-end protective inserts. XLPE foam is the best option for high-value, sensitive, and heavier instruments, firearms, and gear that need top-of-the-line protection.

I am sure it is not inexpensive
