In my last post I used the ° character and for what its worth thought Id post how to easily find all those pesky little characters. Once opened you can just copy and paste as need into your messages.

Similar to what pops up in MS Word when you click on Insert, then Symbol.

Click Start/All Programs/Accessories/System Tools/CharacterMap then select Symbol font

Thanks for the tip Chris, but why won't it work for me? I am running Firefox will that make a difference?

° degree works OK
„ infinity doesn't
µ this one's not right either (whatever it's called - infinity sign open on the RHS)

Any further tips?

Al.

Just hold down the Alt key and type in the ascii symbol of your number key pad (windows users) Example: alt>200 gives you ╚ symbol.
Can`t remember but I think it goes all the way to 254.
Give it a go
╔═════════╗
║---HELLO---║
╚═════════╝
cheers

[ALT] 0176 gives the ° symbol, but you may have to use the numeric keypad (not the top row above letters) to get that to work, depending.

I think they are called oct codes you enter with the numeric pad and ALT key
Here are the extended ones below.

╔════════════════════════════╗
║ Now you can format your messages. ║
╚════════════════════════════╝

I remember I had a program that made ASCII fonts out of the codes search the web for ASCII art
