Running Man

I think the running man needs some more attention! What a great mix of emissions and dust! I tried to keep the trapezium bright, I am not a big fan of the heavy HDR versions, they look a little unnatural. And after all the star of the show is the man!

That’s stunning Peter. Wow just lovely colour and gorgeous detail. Your processing has really allowed the layers of dust, reflection and emission sources to shine through without overpowering each other. Great work!

You will find this beginners effort from late last year, the six spiked stars are due to my 3 spider vanes.
The man is different in the images, mine has less detail at the outside. Is this due to lack of processing skills on my part?

That is a great little man shot! I like the spider spikes, I don't think the difference in detail is primarily from processing, if I were looking to improve your image I would probably start with collecting more sub exposures! You only ended up with 15 mins, I am not sure what scope you are shooting through, but I spent 4.5 hours at f4, and I still felt like I was short changing it.
