Hello dear members, can I ask what the difference is between the two, if at all?

I have no experience with these, but the specifications look very similar.

The manual says ‘some of the first ESPRIT 120 series were delivered with a different focuser: the Helinear focuser’. I do not know if this applies or not to one of the models you have identified.

Hard to know if it's just a marketing hyperbole but super apo means 4 colours come to focus at the same point and APO means 3.

The browny coloured lettering ones were the first models and were released prior to Skywatcher adopting the anodised green trim and new graphic style. Other than appearance they are the same scope (I've owned a 100mm, 120mm and 80mm at various times.) The 100mm was the browny color and was the best of them optically. I was a total idiot for selling it.

Did they fix the poor dew shade on the later 120 esprit? Its the only thing I really am not a fan of on the older model.

No, they are still terrible. They've been on sale a lot lately though. Maybe a new model incoming. Fix that dew shield first!
