That’s a lovely picture Rob, very delicate details appearing in the flame and surrounding nebulas / quite a smooth image and sharp where it matters/ star spikes are brilliant from the newt also. Altinak is a beauty.
The trusty DSLR never fails and you have certainly shown that it still holds its own in the forever advancing astrophotography realm.

There is nothing wrong with that Rob well done indeed.

Anthony, thanks for your comments. I was able to sharpen a bit in the brightest parts of the nebulae where the SN ratio was better, but was unable to sharpen most of the image. I didn't try to tame Altinak ( don't knew how to anyway).
Leon thanks for your encouragement.
I was pleasantly surprised that the humble DSLR was able to produce something that looked a bit like the horse's head. It is modified but not cooled and I didn't use a filter
Cheers,Rob

That’s an excellent shot. You should be extremely happy with that! Beautiful detail and the colour and dynamic range is well balanced. Great work!

Thanks David. I am happy with this result. I could try to add more data but there have been very few cloud free nights this summer in Brisbane. I think my computer also would struggle to stack any more 45sec subs. Talking about summer, the sensor got up to 39 degrees C. Yikes!
Cheers, Rob
