Anyone using Starlink for their internet instead of NBN? Is it worth the cost and provides better connectivity?
Isn't that something to do with Musk Droppings ruining the deep space sky, :sadeyes:just saying

Hi Hans.
My parents have it in a rural area and haven't looked back.
Great support too. Unlimited data with speed rivaling cellular data.
They've been happy with it for what it's worth.
Tim.

Works very well indeed but doesn't like trees. If you have a mostly clear sky then the performance is superb. Even with some obstructions the dropouts are short enough to allow video meetings with only occasional jittering, and buffering means that streaming services are just fine.
I use mine whilst travelling and it lets me work remotely anywhere I care to go so it's worth every cent - despite some hefty price rises recently. You can pause and even transfer the service so it won't be too big a $$ hit should you try and it doesn't work for you.

If you have a clear view of the sky, yes it works.
I ditched NBN a few years ago and no way would I go back.
You need to be able to put the dish on your roof and run a cable from that indoors, either by lifting roof tile or around gutters/eaves (tin roof) to where the WiFi base unit will be, and it needs power. The length of this cable and the need for power may limit your options, or possibly entail a visit from a sparky to put a powerpoint somewhere suitable.
