For Sale is my trusty Skywatcher Startravel Refractor. After downsizing, we have to make a bit of room.
Specifications:
Air-spaced Achromatic Doublet
Aperture: 120mm
Focal Length: 600mm
Focal Ratio: F5
Tube Length: 660mm
Tube Weight (without accessories): 4.2kg
Also included are a basic diagonal and a Skywatcher SWA-58-6 (6mm) 1.25 eyepiece. And it comes in a home-made pine carry case with space for a couple of 1.25 eyepieces and maybe a diagonal, depending on the actual equipment.
OTA only - the mount you see isn't included.
This scope does suffer from a little chromatic aberration, which seems to manifest itself when observing brighter objects (e.g. the moon when near full). I've used it mostly for observing the moon and the inner planets.
The price: $175-00
The case makes this bulky & heavy, so I'm happy to travel to the lower Blue Mountains, Orange, or anywhere reasonable to facilitate pickup.
