Taken from the outskirts of Melbourne on the evening of 18th January. This one was easy to find even from Melbourne's light polluted skies. 10 shots stacked, each one 1/3 second 400iso. 200mm lens at f2.8 using a Fujifilm XT100 mirrorless camera.

Nice catch Mick!
This comet has popped up under the radar and looks to be quite impressive.
I like the natural look to this shot with the comet sitting mighty amongst a typical summer dusk sky.

Very well done, atmospheric in the best way.
Glad you had less of the Western murk and cloud than we did.

Thanks Anthony, the cat's out of the bag now. Just wait and see how many shots of this comet appear over the next few days.
Thanks for the compliment Ross. I guess I was lucky that the sky was void of clouds that night, I needed every help I could get shooting at a location close to a large city. Hope things clear up for you.

Thanks Pierre and Bob. I'm glad you liked them. I got an opportunity to have another go from the NW side of Melbourne on Friday 24th. I haven't processed them yet but the images on the camera look much cleaner for shooting on the western side than these highly light polluted attempts from the NE.
Just added, here is the processed result from shooting past Melbourne's CBD.......
