Space X are scheduling the launch of their 7th Integrated flight test of Starship from Star Base facility at Boca Chica in Texas later this week

If weather is nominal the launch has been scheduled for Thursday 16th January at 9.00am (Australian eastern daylight saving time ) with a 1.5hr launch window

Both booster and ship have undergone numerous upgrades and design changes with this flight being the first Block 2 series designs.

Major milestones are booster catch via chopsticks , simulated ship catch , simulated Starlink satellite deployment, inflight re light of ship raptor engines , further heat shield testing on re entry using 2 types of heat shield protection and others.

Should be another spectacular test flight for those who follow Starships progress this year.

Update from Space X
Flight 7 scrubbed today due to weather
Next launch window is same time tomorrow
Fingers crossed for a go !!

Starship launched successfully this morning Australian Eastern DLS time
Booster was caught successfully by the launch tower chopsticks
Ship flew for another few minutes towards orbit but developed a suspected fire in the aft bulkhead area. A Rapid Unscheduled Disassembly ( RUD ) was initiated.
Space X is reviewing todays flight in detail
