Selling my Baader Neo Moon and Sky filter. Have used it once. In perfect condition.
Penrith located.
$170 posted Australia wide.
The Baader Neodymium Moon & Skyglow filter increases contrast drastically without loss of brightness, making surface detail on Jupiter, Mars, the Moon as well as many deep sky objects much more prominent. Based on the original filter by Carl Zeiss, neodymium glass cuts through skyglow and boosts the red parts of the spectrum. It also cuts UV/IR, letting through light only where optics are their sharpest (especially with refractors). Unlike many light pollution filters available, these filters do not introduce any halos.
The optical surface is fine-optically polished so that there is no loss of sharpness at high magnifications, even when the filter is positioned far in front of the focal point. They can even be put in front of a binoviewer without introducing astigmatism. The surfaces feature 7-layer Phantom Group and 27-layer dielectric UV/IR coatings to minimize ghosting, reflections and stray light scattering, which can ruin the fine details on planets.
