Compiled from 170 sixty-second exposures using a Skywatcher Esprit 100mm refractor, an ASI2600MCPro Duo and a ZWO AM5 mount. Processed in PixInsight and Photoshop.

Looking good there, Tim.

Just curious - what's the focal length on that Esprit 100? It looks an awfully wide FoV for your scope.

Cheers,
V.

It's 550mm. The image is about a 50 per cent crop.

Thanks Leo - I think the more restrained version at:

looks better.

I like this one as well, I have been playing with NGC2070 and found the core hard to keep detail in.

I know what you mean - perhaps it is best to keep the exposure length short, at least for a bright target like this one, and the exposure count high. That is what I was after with this attempt - 60-second exposures and a large exposure run. During processing, I tried to avoid boosting the brightness too much.
