Thanks Leo. I think the atmosphere has been remarkably stable over the past few nights, so has been good for photography - at least for fast refractors.

Yes, we've had extremely clear skies but low temperatures, most unusual for summer with night temperatures dropping down as low as 7 C.
Today I mowed part of my yard in track suit pants, a jumper and bare feet (It took hours to scrub the green out), out in the sun around 4-5PM. It's usually shorts and singlet at best this time of the year. I walk around in winter down to 8c in a short sleeve polo shirt. Incredibly strong, cold winds.
It is lovely for sleeping though, just a light sheet over me last night and 10c in my bedroom, I froze half the night.
When/IF my Nikon D810 EVER gets back from the repair centre (sadly not for Christmas, New Years or my upcoming 65th birthday) I'll be taking my 8" RC or Newt out to play. I want tp try my 5 times powermate on the planets. I've seen some great results from and 8" Newt (not so much RC for planetary).
I am annoyed about the camera, it went in for a $50 part 4 or 5 weeks ago with a paid up front $530 repair bill. I should have ought the $30 component from Aliexress and did the repair myself, NEVER AGAIN.......
I want to get Orion and associated regions too while readily available.
