WHAT LUCK, the clouds parted this afternoon just in time to get a view of this spectacle. AND its very cold too. didn't get to see the final bit when Saturn was very close to the moon, but I have at least seen something.

OK canon 400D very standard on a tripod trying hard not to wobble in the breeze, sigma 18-125mm lens and no bulb, just the timer function. the first couple were handheld, as I couldn't believe my luck

Nice work Dave - driving home I saw some clear skies to the north and saw the sun for the first time in weeks. It didn't last long.

Well done, first clear skies for a long time. I saw the moon as I was heading off for the Newcastle Space Frontier Society meeting :)

thanks Roger and Andrew. I was so excited I saw anything I tried heaps of settings. there was some high and low cloud though that tended to bloat the images.
