First decent image with the new scope - NGC2070

Hi all,

I upgraded my scope from the SW72ED to a Saxon 102ED-FC100 triplet way back in September. And it's been rotten astro weather (or I had other things on that stopped me using it) ever since.

However, I was able to get out under the stars last Wednesday to see how well this thing works. I chose NGC2070, the good old Tarantula Nebula so I could compare new with old.

Two hours of data gave me the attached image. What do you think?

The drought has been broken. Finally another picture posted to gaze at! :lol: Steve, that came out really nice and your processing looks great.yes the weather came good later last week to end months of cloudy nights. Good framing with the 102 and the SV305. Is that camera usually used for planetary?

Oops.. I knew I forgot something when I wrote that. That will teach me for trying to get stuff done when I'm in a hurry. The '305 is my guide cam. My imaging camera is an ASI183MC-Pro.
