There is a very interesting thread on Cloudy Nights about a new Push To system using Plate Solving. Seems to be well designed and priced.

Thanks for posting the link Mike.
I've briefly heard of the Pi finder but the Cloudy nights link explains just about everything I needed to know. Will have to seriously delve deeper into this, could be very handy on the big dob.

I recently got a PiFinder and have found it to be stunningly good. It was nearly a full moon and I was still able to find faint fuzzy after faint fuzzy.
My only concern with it is that I fear as I use it more that I will lose even more of my knowledge of the night sky and ability to starhop…it seems to be that good…

I have just received all the parts to build one. Haven't started assembly yet. Will report back when completed.
