Hello There

How is it possible that this phone can be so close to the tube/metal without magnetic field interference? It never worked for me. Thanks to you all.

Do you mean the phone being affected?
They work in enclosed cars and are generally well shielded internally.

What refractordude was talking about is magnetic field interreference impacting the compass sensor in phones. Not GPS.
From the hardware setup in his photo, refractordude is likely making use of the AstroHopper system from over on Cloudy Nights.

If I can figure out how to securely and precisely attach the phone holder to my P130, I would love to give AstroHopper a go, as my 2022 purchased Motorola Moto G51 5G has all the necessary sensors AstroHopper makes use of.
