Goldilocks variable

Hi all. One frame shows the goldilocks variable star (2024) (marked) in the Dumbbell nebula, the other does not (2022). Tried to do this as a giff but couldn't get it down to 8bit. But if you keep clicking from one photo the other you get similar effect. Cheers, Rob

Thanks Steve. I've had a go at the dumbbell nebula a few times, but this was the first time I saw the variable star. I just attached a gif in grey scale, can't do a decent gif of this in color. I processed the images in 16 or 32 bit. Perhaps if I had processed everything in 8 bit it might have got a better color gif. Rob

Never paid much notice to these variable stars.
