I cannot get this device to connect through ASCOM with NINA any help

I assign a Port to connection in device manager under WIn10 but keeps saying port is closed or invalid

Trev,
I’m not a NINA or Primaluce expert but seems like you have to download the Primaluce “Play software” to allow their equipment to connect via Ascom

https://www.primalucelab.com/software/play-prima-luce-astrophotography-software.html

You may have already done this ??

Another thing to check is whether you have hidden unused assigned ports which may need to be cleared

Hidden Unused COM Ports or change COM port assignments*

You can clear hidden unused COM
ports by opening Device Manager , click View, then select Show Hidden devices
Under Ports ( COM & LPT ) expand to show assigned but unused Ports ( greyed out )
Right click and select uninstall
To change COM port assignments right click on USB Serial Ports , click on Properties, click port settings tab then Advanced , now choose an unused COM port from drop down list*

Finally an ol favourite, crappy USB cable

Cheers
Martin

Cheers Martin, will try - I've finally taken the plunge and changed my setup from the big scope and OSC to a 110ED AND ZWO1600GT, the 110ED has the Senso Sensa 2 focuser- so I'll be asking questions no doubt for a while on different things as this is my first foray into Mono at least until everything is honed in :)

I’m sure you’ll sort out all the bugs
Going Mono is daunting at first but very rewarding once you get into it and the 1600 is an excellent camera. I haven’t used my 2600MC for over a year.
Don’t skimp on the mono filters either , I use mid cost range Antlia and they are excellent.
Gauging from the boat load of OSC images you have been posting over the past couple of months , looks like you have fairly consistent clear skies in Perth so collecting mono data sets ( LRGB , SHO or HaLRGB etc… ) should work out well and not toooooo…. frustrating.
East coast has been cloudy lately and cloudy at least until end of November , bummer
Good luck with your Mono journey !!

The process :)

1. Load PLAY software
2. Load Senso Sensor V3.6 software run app for PPL Ascom focuser then load latest driver software make sure all previous drivers removed
3. run PLAY as administrator
4. Chose focuser in PLAY, then choose COM port (default CoM16), then click connect button (anchor chain)
5. When connected may ask to upgrade software
6. Save configuration
7. Close PLAY

8. Open NINA load profile then select PPL ASCOM for focuser -then select the GearCogs, a pop-up will appear, select COM PORT 16

9. then finally click connect focuser
