Not just lucky, but also clever, imaging.

More than lucky but also impressive!
Yep that certainly is different well done Peter.

Thanks Gents! :)
When I first looked at the data, none of the individual frames looked particularly striking on their own. A bit of an aeroplane here or there, but there was certainly no complete or photogenic image.
It was some time after when I had a "Eureka!" moment while reading a Sky & Telescope piece about obtaining an Asteroid's profile during a stellar occultation.
"Lining up the shadows" in my data would likely work!
It was relatively straightforward after that.

That's a very clever result and we all know luck had little to do with it.
I think this is a thing where experience wins?
EDIT: Lucky timing perhaps, I just realised that but the quality of the image is pure expertise.

Very clever.
Have you worked out which aircraft and who was flying it yet?

Great to see something different. Great capture.

Ta. A little innovation is always good. I have no knowledge of the tail number or crew...but the cheeky buggers clearly took off in a hurry :)
Experience? Maybe. Old dogs can learn new tricks after all

I'll add to the previous comments.
Impressively clever processing, but also a very spectacular image
with essentially perfect framing.
APOD worthy for sure

You've got a time and bearing - surely a man with your training could look back at FlightRadar data and work it out? ;-)

:thanx: Thanks again to one an all. As for identifying the aircraft, yes, Flight Radar 24 does now have a playback feature....but I don't want to pay for a subscription to simply find out the tail number.
I'd rather buy a half reasonable bottle of red :)
Well done Peter. A 5-Body problem
