Winter Solstice

Hi all.

Is the Winter Solstice (here in the southern hemisphere) this Thursday or Friday?

I always thought it was June 21, but have read that this year it occurs on the 22nd:shrug:

According to my EsE2C calender and also this website (http://www.museum.vic.gov.au/planetarium/constetour/fss/fss5.html), it's 22nd June, 4.06am.

Precession is the culprit now its 22nd June, 4.06am. (Friday morning)
Bonfire nite! :thumbsup:
By the way it changes every year due to not an exact 365 day rotation
I broke ground & sunk the pier for my Obs
on the Winter Solstice 21st June 2003 (daylight was 9 hrs & 33 min)
