Hello There
There was talk/email ramblings about this comet by my astronomy club members. I did not think much of it. I am a very casual observer. I was stargazing a few days ago under bortle 4 skies. I did not set up my little goto scope up. I used my 15x70 binoculars mounted going in a circles looking for surprises. Well I got the surprise of my thus far astronomy hobby life. Comet C/2023 A3 at first showed my binoculars/me a bright long cone of light. Wondering what it could be I looked naked eye and saw about half a degree long coned light. I marveled at it with my binoculars, Olivon 22mm, and UFF Celestron 30mm. If you can get under dark skies do so ASAP. It wont be back for another 26,000 years.
