Hello solar observers,
here are two images of the beautiful rise of a filament on October 14, 2024 at the western limb. A lot of data was collected on this day, which I still want to evaluate in bad weather - mosaics, velocity determinations, detailed studies over time etc...

What a detailed image set, Harald. The pictures are beautiful to look at. And you get a lot of science data as well! :thumbsup:

thank you very much for your answers. The solar observation season continues here in Germany until the end of October. I want to make the most of every minute until then. The solar telescope has been working very stably for a few weeks now and produces good images even at this larger aperture. It is the best telescope I have built so far.

Amazing images there Harald, not often see this scale and detail, I imagine earth in there be like a marshmallow in a 20 foot BonFire !
