I'm a bit late jumping on the bandwagon but I managed to get out yesterday morning and get some images from Picnic Point, Toowoomba. I intended on stacking but unfortunately I've had to bin most of them as I accidentally left the IS on after focussing via liveview. The resulting stars resemble wriggly worms.

This is the best single frame that I captured using:
Canon 6D
89mm
f/4
8 second exp.
ISO 4000
Post-processed and slightly cropped in Light Room

Nice capture Paul.

You imaged it the same morning as me, but a bit earlier (I think) in darker sky so you've got much more of the tail showing.
