Woke up at 3am to check if the 5 day run of comet destroying clouds had gone...decided to give it a go; PA from chalk marks on floor made last night, no plate solving (no stars!); at 4.20am it wasn't visible by eye or binoculars but saw something on camera behind trees....

This is from Bortle 7, Sydney with altitude 4-7 degrees and is heavily reduced, cropped, truncated and frames decimated to upload it (original 3GB, this is 70MB). The original ser file looks very nice but unfortunately no one but me will ever see it. Please use your imagination!

Too big for astrobin, Cloudy nights wont work.

Cant directly link it either, but it is on this page:

Many thanks Leon. If there's any way of sharing the original I am happy to let you have it.

I put it on Youtube but its still only based on a screen-videocapture rather than original (looks OK ish on a phone):

Hopefully we get another go in 2 weeks time if it survives the journey- fingers crossed.

Cheers
