Hi folks-
Conditions have been woeful of late but the jet stream seemed to settle down last night, albeit a rather thick layer of high cloud made things a little tricky...

Here's a few shots that took my fancy:
Theophilus_Cyrillus_Catharina Caters
Aristotle_Eudoxus Craters
Hyginus Rille & Crater

I think my favourite is the Aristotle & Eudoxus Craters - I just loved the impact ejecta strewn to the side...and can almost visualise it happening!

Also interested by the Hyginus crater (shot in very unstable conditions on the 9th), which as I understand, is one of the only craters on the moon that is not caused by an impact, but rather by volcanic activity!

Nice work Dave, the Aristotle Eudoxus image is a cracker. The seeing down here was horrible last night and the high cloud didn't help.

Thanks Jeff sorry to hear it was a write-off for you down there. Once the moon had dropped I moved over to Saturn and later on was easily the best seeing of the season I’d say. But the high cloud was quite thick so transparency was rubbish

Fabulous images, David. Enjoyed exploring the details in each of the images.

Excellent Dave, we should be able to see the Apollo landers, surely..? :D

Thank you kindly Mike. Not sure I’ve quite got that kind of resolution lol but when the conditions are good I reckon features under 1000m are certainly discernible. I can easily spend a great deal of time behind the eyepiece observing the moon- always always something new to see!
