Hi everyone,
Well what a surprise. In the six to eight years since I was seriously involved in Astrophotography the amount and quality of image processing software has improved out of sight. As such, I've been playing with some old data (~2013 and older) to see what I can get out of it.
Below I've attached my new version of M8, the Lagoon Nebula. I know it's a bit noisy at the extremities but I really wanted to push it hard. Anyway, I'm pretty amazed at just how much data I've been able to pull out considering it was taken with a QHY8L through an 8" Newtonian (my old scope) from a Brisbane backyard.
I feel like I'm looking into the fires of hell...
Cheers,
Mario
