NGC6729-Corona Australis

Hi All
though I would share new photo just done Using my CDK14 and new F4.8Reducer fitted. NGC6729 and the globular cluster NGC6723, done in RGB 9 hours of data 180 second exposures with ZWO6200 on a GM2000 Mount.
Just getting use to using the new reducer but looks very promising for future targets.

thanks Michael and Dave and here is my image in Astro bin. I still have to do some testing but looks like I will need bigger filters as I have to crop some of the outside for vigiting effect. Using antlia pros 50mm screwed probably need 50mm full size ones to fix it.

Absolutely stunning image , it’s got everything, multiple objects , dust , nebulosity, incredible Star field, depth , colour and superb resolution , excellent framing , enough said.
Also Wow what a rig !!
I hope your under some darker skies , certainly looks like it

Thank you Martin, and I build a small observatory in my back yard small town just outside of Adelaide (Bortel 3) so happy getting good results. Also the great of having a 10 micron mount is no need to guide and that makes a big difference and easier to set up whit the CDK combo.

the observatory is simple build all insulated and aircond for hot days with exhaust fan to keep humidity down. roll of roof and I did not go with Plane wave equipment got the Primaluce essato 4" focuser and eagle 4 pro plus now not on the photos also the Arco 3 rotator so easy to frame everything.

I'm thinking (well...dreaming :rolleyes:) of swapping out my 12" F3.8 Newt with something like the 14" PW, how would you rate it? Easy to collimate and hold collimation?

Mike this would have to be the easiest and best scope I ever had. you only need to move the secondary mirror for collimation 3 screws, very easy as the main mirror is fixed. from new it came perfect collimation holds it very well. focusing is excellent as it does not move with temperature change all night lol, only need to focus when changing filters. dew is never a problem with the each mirror come with factory fitted heaters. I saved money and run the heaters with the primaluce eagle 4S, you can spend another $1600 for the plane wave heater control but it does not run the fans lol. that's how they get you but I also control the speed of the fans with the eagle so no problem. with my location I use BIN2 on camera but now with reducer I could go back to BIN1 so in perfect conditions with the smaller pixel sensors BIN 1 is a go but BIN 2 better IMO at F7.2 unless you have a large pixel size sensor then no problem. The reducer is not cheap to get so all up not a cheap scope but what is in this hobby lol.
I also don't need to guide with my 10 micron mount even at 2565mm FL I can get 15 minute no trail photos in my permanent set up so no OAG required that makes using this easy. Yes I have had zero issues with my planewave from day one and love it.

So, with the reducer, this Rho image was taken at 1700mm FL with a full frame sensor at 0.9"/pix? Is this cropped at all? What reducer is it?

Correct it was done at 1700 and about 15% crop and the reducer is the plane wave reducer for CDK 12.5-14 and 17. this drops it from F7.2 to around F4.8.
