A popular target. Rich colourful star fields where the stars look like sand on the beach.

Ha O111 LERB a total of 6.5 hours from my dark site and mainly from my home in Sussex Inlet.

Astrophysics Riccardi Honders 305mm F3.8 and QHY 600m on a PME and AP1600 mount.

Interestingly there is practically no difference running the camera at 1x1 binning versus 2x2. In fact the 2x2 tends to look a bit better.

Thanks JA.

No Flats, no darks, no bias. The Honders does not need flats all the time and the camera is clean enough it does not need bias or darks, simply dithered and stacked.

A very tidy rendition. That said, to nitpick, the colours look neon like and the contrast harsh. There is nuance in the region's light and shade that has been crunched IMHO. Sometimes less is more.

Lovely framing and depth with the AP RHA is certainly showing its pedigree...it's such a superb 'scope.

Regardless of my nitpicking, a very solid image of a perennial favourite.

Thanks Peter for your critique. The Honders is indeed a marvellous scope. My favouite.

I have softened it and backed off the saturation and replaced the original image with the new.

The re-pro sparkles. Very nice.

To quote Powers (the Austin variety) "Yeah Baby!".

Looks good Greg, some lovely detail and that meandering Nile river like, black dust trail, is such a cool feature. Perhaps a little less cyan might lift it a tad too?
