Zooming in on some lunar wrinkles

Gotta say one of my favourite lunar features has got to be the wrinkle ridges. In the right light, they're really fun to follow from end to end visually too - and a challenge to get a decent image.

This is another capture from last week in decent but not great conditions. With the sun illuminating on such a shallow angle, I framed and cropped the image to emphasise the wrinkles and exclude some surrounding craters that were overexposed. Still room for improvement I reckon...

Impressive lunar terrain image
Colour , contrast and brightness is superb
I’m more gobsmacked over how many tiny craters you’ve resolved in and around those wrinkles when you pixel peep.
That rig of your is incredible
Well done !!
I must have another go at lunar imaging before years end with my 8” Carbon Newt. I was pretty happy with last years lunar vistas.

Thanks gents I appreciate the kind words.
Martin- this region seems to only show nice detail when its right on the terminator - which is why you can see those tiny shadows on some very small craters. And it's what makes it quite a challenge to image too. I'm enjoying a bit of planetary/lunar astronomy now- It's a nice break from the dso processing thats difficult to find the time for when life gets busy.

Well done Dave, the wrinkles are well highlighted, perfect illumination angle and focus. Had to do some digging to reveal the area in question. The Mare Humorum I do believe, with the crater Puiseux at top right and the wrinkle ridges extending down to Gassendi, just off the bottom right corner of the frame.
