Hey everyone, this is my first image posted to IIS.

This is an image of C77 the Centaurus A galaxy using the best 5.6 hours of a total of 8.7 hours of data.

I'm still trying to get my processing down to not blow out the stars and their colours but keeping the subject looking nice.

Let me know your thoughts! :)

Details:
Celestron C8 Edge with 0.7x reducer
ASI 294MC Pro main camera
ASI 120MM mini guide camera
EQ6 R Pro

Hi Euan - great work mate it looks like you're off to a great start! I reckon you've done quite well with the stars and you've got nice detail in the galaxy as well. Not too much wrong at all with the processing - if you want you can share a link to a higher res version (either via Astrobin or Telescopius for eg).
What do you use for your post processing?

Hey Dave

Thanks so much! In terms of processing, I use DSS to stack the subs and then use photoshop for the rest. I've heard a lot of good things about Pixinsight but I'm gonna try and learn photoshop well before I go to the more complex stuff.

I've just made my astrobin account, so here's the link to a bit of a higher-res version: https://www.astrobin.com/dt8h78/
