This is the Corona Australis (NGC 6726). Its 24 hours exposure (5min ea) using a UV/IR and a Optolong Quad Enhance filter in Bortle 5 sky . I processed this in Pixinsight. The Askar V triplet was set at 495mm FL F6.18 80mm and the ASI 533 MC Pro was set to -10 deg. Belt modded HEQ5 was guiding at about 0.5 rms. Southern Hemisphere at about 50 Deg Altitude.
I was happy with imaging this and at about 20 hours I could see little noise in the image.

Glorious wide field image
Spectacular
Well done indeed !!
Belt modding that HEQ5 obviously has done wonders for your guiding. I had a stock HEQ5 ( my first ever mount ) about 8 years ago and the best I could get out of it was 0.85 , mostly guiding around 0.90 to 1.20.
Cheers

Thank Greg!
Thanks Martin .. I get average 0.5 rms with the Askar V, but when I use the Samyang 135 I get 1.0 RMS! I think its the differential flexure because I dont use an off axis guider with the samyang.
Yes I was thinking about going a bit closer (600mm FL) but its not close enough to do it any justice and that's as far deep as Ican go with my optics lol. So I went for a "fit" onto my sensor. Thats the beauty of the modular Askar V i nterchange system.

Awesome work Paul I really love this, similar to my version at 670mm focal length with my reduced 130 apo (910-675) using the 0.75 reducer.
I did mine in Bortle 6 using the L-quad and the 294mc which has a wider field of view so the images match up well. My integration time was 6 hours but the larger aperture made up for the shorter integration time. Love your version mate it's a cracker.
Also can I ask how do you find the EQ5 belt modded mount is it a good semi portable mount to use? I'm looking to replace my eq3 with something but can't afford/refuse to pay for what they are asking for a strainwave/harmonic mount

Thanks Mike!
Thanks Nick. Tbh I was expecting a bit more from the quad filter. Sure it gave me a very slight outer detail on the wispy dust but that's about it. I compared it to the non filtered stack. I suppose bortle 5 I'm not going to see loads of difference anyway.
The HEQ5 I take ro Wiruna and other locations no problem at all. Belt mod is a must if you want consistency in guiding though.
I'm actually going to put mine on the market soon as I'm ready for an Am3 or am5n lol.
