I'd like to give a shout out to TSA Outdoors in Brookvale, NSW. A week or so ago my SkyWatcher EQ6-R pro mount started making clicking noises when moving in RA, and every 4th or 5th image was spoiled with star trails - it definitely looked like a mechanical issue. I contacted TSA by email and Graeme in their support section sent me a new motherboard to install. He admitted it was a longshot worth trying before having to bring the mount in for fixing, and he was correct - the clicking persisted with the new MB. So yesterday I filled my petrol tank and took a packed lunch for the long trip to Brookvale (I live on the other side of Sydney), handed over the mount and was told it would be a week or so before it could be looked at. This morning I received an email from Graeme saying the mount was ready to pick up; the RA drive belt had broken, so he replaced both belts as well as adjusting the backlash. All without any questions about how old the mount was, or needing proof of purchase etc...so well done TSA Outdoors for great customer service.

Graeme does a great job. Had problems with an AZ-EQ5 motherboard last year (under warranty) & rather than having to take/send it in he shipped me out a new motherboard which I received within a couple of days. That fixed my issue, I was up & running again within 4 days of the problem starting.

When Tasco first took on the Skywatcher brand years and years ago product support was less than ideal. You got more satisfaction out of the retailers like Bintel
These days its improved a thousand percent
Yes Graeme is extremely helpful
Just in case you have some issues again I’ll attach some procedures to adjust backlash and drive belts etc… It’s fairly straight forward if you have some minimal mechanical experience.
I’ve owned 2 of these EQ6-R pro mounts over the past 5 years ( still use one in Sydney ) and have serviced them myself just by watching a million YouTube clips.
My current EQ6-R mount tracks and guides beautifully ( pending conditions) 0.40 to 0.50 on good nights carrying an 8” f5 Carbon Newt
This may save you a long drive to Tasco at Brooky
I too had the clicking sound which ended up being some stiction in the worm drives and main Ra bearing ( nothing to do with belts ) during warmer months it went away but came back in Winter.
Cheers
Martin
