M20 and a widefield of the milkway

Hi everyone in IIS, :hi:
I hope you guys down in Newcastle didn`t get caught up in all those terrible floods..Got some rain here but not like you did down there!
Anyways had some nice clear nights here the last few days and have been itching to do some imaging!!
Transparency is great but the seeing is quiet bad..
I had to have another go at the Trifid neb since last time got fogged out!!
The seeing really affected the image as stars are qiet bloated and it needed some extra processing to get it the way it is now..
The widefield shot I did last night just before dawn...came out rather nicely even though it was a bit breezy..
Ok details:
M20 - 10 x 4 min iso 800 Df removed with my 6" f/5.6 newt/canon 300d (modded)
Widefield Milkyway with sigma 17-70 @ f/3.5 and 21mm, iso 400 for 4 min with same camera. I like this lense too!!!:D
Still hoping for this nasty jetstream to move away until then I shall stick to widefield stuff..

Great images Gary, the blue nebulosity has been captured nicely in the Trifid and the widefield is very spectacular.

I really like the widefield but the tree tempts me to think about an axe..... though moving the camera would be more environmentally sound:whistle:

Really like your wide field view of our galaxy, and the trees to the foreground give great perspective..... Thems is great lenses!

I've just been out testing my new home made composite tube, redesigned primary cell and modified my home made accessory plate and I'm impressed as now I've eliminated my flexure issues in both tracking and guiding.. also lightened the load some what...
So hopefully have some thing to offer weather pending soon.

Keep up the good work with your scope and lens..

Thanks everyone for the positive comments!!! Yeah I like the widefield shot as it really gives me that 3d effect that we are looking into a big side on spiral galaxy!
Dave, it`s a huge tree about 100m away but at least it doesn`t get in my way usually, does need the top 10m+ cut off but...lol
Glad you have things sorted out Rich, always look forwards to your image posts..
